Comfort is Key

When you feel good, you look great!  Something magical happens when soft fabric touches your skin.  You smile, maybe even giggle and that's when things start to happen.  Your head goes up, your shoulders push back a little more, one foot moves in front of the other and you walk without looking back.  We all lead such hectic lives - - putting something on that's soft and comfortable extends your energy level and allows you to keep going.  There's a mind and body connection that lets you be the best you can be.  Soft fabrics affect the way you feel, think and move.  At the end of the day, it's about rewarding yourself for all the work you do. You can do this by wearing beautiful and indulgent fabrics; it's your therapy moment.

Fast fashion uses inexpensive fabrics and takes a different path.  We all have that blouse we spent $10 on because it looked so fashion forward for a moment or a pant we only wore once because it quickly went out of style.  Fashion cycles are moving faster than ever. More styles means more purchases and that leads to more waste. Disposable clothing is damaging to the environment and the economy.  People tend to dispose of cheaper mass produced fashion garments more than the costly ones. We are not prepared to deal with the large amounts of waste created today. Customers wear something a couple of times and then replace it quickly due to poor quality.  Yes, prices reflect quality and we often fall into the cycle of buying multiple inexpensive items instead of choosing to invest in a couple of high-quality pieces.

We couldn't agree more with Abigail Glaum-Lathbury, assistant professor of fashion design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago who said  "I would argue that people should invest in fewer clothing pieces that are better and high quality and find something that is meaningful to you, whether that be about your self-image or comfort."

Coco & Cyd provide special, high-quality pieces that reflect the current fashions while maintaining a classic feel that will allow you to wear our clothing for years to come. We want you to feel comfortable and confident; we love boosting the power we know grows strong within you. What woman doesn’t want to look fabulous and feel comfortable? Take care of yourself and your body; invest in a piece that will make you feel not only emotionally great but physically great as well.
