Sleeves in Fashion

We have a pretty good idea of what Spring 2017 styles are going to look like.   A lot of us have already started looking at what designers have in mind and some of my friends have already bought these 'pieces'. There's enough information out there to give us an idea of what styles we're heading towards.

We know trench coats are one of the top selling styles for Spring. The cold-shoulder look in tops and dresses is still very strong and fuller skirts with cardigans or short jackets have carved their own path as well. One thing we're seeing everywhere, is an emphasis on sleeves as a statement. From layers of ruffles to bell sleeves to extra long sleeves; there is a shape, a flair, a sleeve for everyone.  Here are a couple of sleeves to take a look at when you're browsing the web or treating yourself to a little retail therapy.

The ruffle sleeve are statement making.  Choose between different amounts of ruffles and sizes.  Also opt for black and white hues and a simple deign like a cropped straight leg trouser.

The cold shoulder sleeve is perfect for women who like to bare a little less skin. The cold shoulder design shows a flash of skin on top of the arm.  Cold shoulder sleeves are modern and chic.

Balloon sleeves are puffed up to be short and wide with the round style gathered at the end to resemble a semi-deflated balloon.  The great thing about this sleeve is that it plays with proportion.  Balloon sleeves are great with cropped pants, a straight or wide pant.

Bell sleeves are fitted on the shoulder and flare out wide toward the wrist. The new bell sleeve is also modern and chic.  From dresses to tops and even knits, a bell sleeve adds a unique dose of fashion to the simplest outfit.
