Warmth in the Winter
One of the most beautiful gifts we can receive during the holiday season is time with our loved ones. As we get older, time begins to move faster and faster and we seem to get busier and busier. It can be difficult to see and dedicate time to our social lives when, for instance, work takes over. After a rushed autumn, December seemed to come so quickly, and it felt like I was left with a million and one tasks to complete before the holiday season. Now that we are in the midst of everything I am able to take a breath, and notice it wasn’t so bad, and most of all, it was worth any of the extra work I put in to make the holiday that much more special. I cherish all of the lovely time I have spent and get to spend with the people I love. Family and friends will always bring the most value into your life, provide the most beautiful memories, and support you during times of need. It is so important to remind ourselves of the love that fills us; it can be so easy to forget when life gets difficult and or busy.
We live in a society today that is often so focused on the future that we rarely get time to take in the present moment or look back on memories that can warm our hearts and souls. We encourage all of you to take in everything that is so wonderful about the holiday and enjoy this time of year because it is special. Even if you don’t observe a holiday or have traditions that vary from most, it is a great time to dedicate to your loved ones. There is this special warm feeling that comes about during this time of year that almost necessitates company. Perhaps it comes from a heightened awareness of the beginning of a new year, or the cold weather that brings everyone together in good spirit. Whatever it may be, revel in the community of the holidays and treasure those significant in your life, they will always remain the greatest gift.
